Good news for pensioners who receive a widow’s pensionsince it is confirmed that these will grow by 2.8% as of January 1, 2025. This occurs after the National Institute of Statistics (INE) published this Friday the confirmed CPI data for the month of November, which stands at 2.4%, four tenths above that registered in October. In this way, the figure advanced on November 28 is confirmed.

As explained by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, the revaluation will mean an increase in the pension of around 600 additional euros per year for those who receive an average retirement pension, while the system’s average pensions will increase around 500 euros. annual. This increase will benefit nearly 9.3 million people who receive 10.3 million contributory pensions, of which 2.35 million correspond to pensioners with a widow’s pension.

The average widow’s pension will go from 898.82 euros in 2024 to 923.98 euros in 2025which represents a monthly increase of 25.17 euros. Finally, pensions for occupational diseases will register the largest increase, with 40.85 additional euros, rising from 1,458.91 euros to 1,499.76 euros per month.

Minimum and maximum amounts
