As many as one third of Polish enterprises have not taken any steps to integrate their financial and accounting tools with the National e-Invoice System (KSeF).
Only 20% of Polish companies have integrated their financial and accounting tools with the National e-Invoice System (KSeF) – according to the report “Revolution in invoicing: are Polish companies ready for KSeF?” prepared by Webcon. In turn, only one quarter of companies in Poland have taken steps in this direction.
The study showed that as many as 32% of Polish enterprises have not yet taken any steps in connection with the introduction of e-invoices in Poland, and 23% of companies are unable to determine whether they have already started any preparations for the KSeF and at what stage they are. Medium-sized enterprises are best prepared for the changes, because among them, as many as 55% of respondents have integrated their systems with the KSeF or taken steps to do so. Among the largest companies, which employ over 250 employees, this percentage is 49%. The least prepared for the reform are microenterprises – among them, as many as 36% of respondents did not know the term “KSeF” at all at the end of 2023.
Polish companies point out the adaptation of tools and procedures to new regulations as the biggest challenge related to KSeF, as this was indicated by 42% of organizations in the smallest enterprises and 47% in large ones.
The uncertainty of companies related to adapting processes to the KSeF obligation seems fully justified. This is a change that affects everyone – both organizations that have not yet implemented a tool for electronic invoice circulation, as well as companies that already use such systems. In the first case, entrepreneurs will have to choose the right platform, implement and train employees. In the second, check whether the system used is or will be integrated with KSeF, and if not, look for other solutions. In each case, companies will face the difficult decision of choosing a flexible tool that will allow them to adapt processes on time and without additional costs in the event of later changes in regulations.
