Agriculture publishes the list of 496 Andalusian shipowners affected by the storms who will receive 2.7 million euros in aid

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has published the list of 496 Andalusian shipowners who will receive 2.7 million euros in aid to compensate for the loss of income due to the impossibility of fishing during the storms recorded between January and February.

The resolution of the General Directorate of Fisheries Management and Aquaculture, together with the list of beneficiaries and the amounts assigned, has been made public in the ministry website.

Shipowners have a period of five days, starting tomorrow, to report possible errors or renounce this aid.

Measure included in the decree to support the sector

Are aid has been framed in Royal Decree-Law 5/2026, of February 17, which includes extraordinary measures for the agricultural and fishing sectors affected by adverse situations.

The objective of this support line is to compensate for the loss of income derived from the inactivity caused by the weather conditions, which especially affected Andalusia.

This package of measures has a global allocation of 2,874.1 million euros, of which 2,174 million correspond to direct aid.

The distribution of these between Andalusian provinces is as follows:

  • Cádiz: 169 shipowners — 1,001,339.90 euros
  • Huelva: 208 shipowners — 1,244,338.29 euros
  • Malaga: 119 shipowners — 541,147.07 euros
