The price of electricity today, Sunday, March 22, 2026: the cheapest and most expensive hours within the PVPC

The average price of electricity for this Sunday, March 22, 2026, rises slightly to 108.09 euros/MWh for consumers with a regulated or indexed rate in the free market, according to data published by Red Eléctrica. This means that electricity is paid 1.74 euros more expensive than this Saturday, in which the price was 106.37 eurosthat is, 1.62% more.

It must be taken into account that these amounts refer to what is known as the Voluntary Price for Small Consumers (PVPC), and are different from those published by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE), for the wholesale market. Normally they are larger amounts because they include additional items such as taxes and tolls.

When is electricity cheaper this Sunday?

The cheapest hour of electricity takes place between 11:00 and 12:00, with a price of 64.27 euros, with the rest of the sections at lower prices during the morning and early afternoon.

When is electricity most expensive this Sunday?

The maximum peak of electricity is from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a price of 160.12 euros, with the rest of the more expensive hours distributed at different times of the day.
