Repsol has announced that starting this Saturday it will double its fuel discounts throughout Spain, in response to the increase in gasoline and diesel prices caused by international tension in the Middle East. The measure will apply to both individuals and transporters and will be in force until April 6, thus covering the Easter period, with the aim of alleviating the impact on consumers.
The company will apply this discount to customers who use Waylet, its payment and loyalty application. During the validity period, drivers will be able to benefit from savings of up to 40 cents per liter, depending on the energy products they have contracted.
The promotion will be available at more than 3,300 of the company’s service stations in Spain and is part of its strategy to encourage the combined use of different energy solutions. Repsol explains that the measure seeks to cushion the immediate effect of the price increase and reinforce support for its customers at a time of high demand, especially due to the trips planned during the holidays.
Reinforcement for transporters and self-employed workers
In addition, Repsol will incorporate a specific measure for the professional sector. Transporters and self-employed workers who use the Solred card will receive an additional discount of 5 cents per liter, which will be compatible with the usual bonuses.
This bonus is aimed at a group especially exposed to the evolution of fuel prices, given their weight in operating costs. The company highlights that Solred has more than 250,000 professional clients and around two million active cards, which makes it one of the main payment tools in the sector.
