The price of electricity today, Saturday, March 7, 2026: the cheapest and most expensive hours within the PVPC

The average price of electricity this Saturday, March 7, 2026, plummets to 118.11 euros/MWh for consumers with a regulated or indexed rate in the free market, according to data published by Red Eléctrica. Compared to Friday, March 6, the amount falls by 24.72%, this means that 38.79 euros less are paid, since the previous day the price reached 156.90 euros per megawatt hour.

The prices that appear here belong to the Voluntary Price for Small Consumers (PVPC). For this reason, they differ from those published by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE), which reflect the price in the wholesale market and are usually lower as they do not include concepts such as taxes, charges or tolls of the electrical system.

When is electricity cheaper this Saturday?

The cheapest hour will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a price of 42.10 euros/MWh. On this day the cheapest hours to take advantage of electricity consumption will be at noon.

When is electricity most expensive this Saturday?

The most expensive hour will be from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a price of 232.43 euros per megawatt hour.
