Long queues at Lidl to get the most versatile clothesline of the season: ideal for small apartments for 19.99 euros

After several weeks of intermittent rain and overcast skies, many Spanish households are once again wondering where to dry their clothes without taking up half the room. In this context, Lidl has achieved the solution with the return to its stores of the W5 Tower Clothesline vertical clothesline, a folding model, with wheels and three hanging levels for only 19.99 euros.

It is no coincidence that these types of products sell out in a matter of hours. According to the INE, 31% of the Spanish population lives in apartments of less than 75 square meters, with an even higher percentage, 42%, in large cities.

Added to all this is that more than half of the homes lack large balconies or patios for their own use, a lack that is especially noticeable in areas of the center of Madrid, Barcelona or Valencia, where space is a scarce commodity and with very high prices.

Space, a luxury in cities

Due to the limited space of homes, the tower design of the Lild clothesline offers a practical answer. With its 126 centimeters high, 70 wide and 60 deep, this model takes advantage of every centimeter without taking up space from the room.

Its stylized format allows it to be easily placed next to a wall or in a corner without hindering passage. And when it is no longer needed, it folds in seconds, reducing its volume for convenient storage behind a door, in a closet or under the bed.

In addition, it has three horizontal levels with seven rods each, two extendable hangers for hangers and four smooth-rolling wheels that facilitate movement even with clothes hanging.

It can support up to 12kg total load, enough for a standard household washing machine. It is, in short, the alternative for those who live in small apartments or without a terrace.

A purchase that makes sense

The demand for compact organization items does not stop growing. According to a recent study by the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU), 64% of Spaniards claim to have modified their way of washing and drying clothes due to the rise in electricity prices and changing weather conditions.

The preference for more natural and economical methods, such as air drying, has led to an increasing appreciation of functional products that optimize space and time. But beyond the usefulness, there is another component: the satisfaction of finding a simple solution to an everyday problem.

On social networks, users have already highlighted the ease of moving the clothesline from one room to another or placing it next to a window without blocking the way. For its part, Lild has confirmed that the product is only available in certain regions and while supplies last.
