The average price of electricity tomorrow, Tuesday, March 3, 2026, will be 28.43 euros per megawatt hour (MWh) in the wholesale market, according to data published by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE). Thus, the week continues with a new rise in electricity, this time more noticeable, being 54.85% compared to Monday. Specifically, about 10.07 euros more will be paid for the ‘pool’.
As a reminder, note that this amount refers to the price in the wholesale market, which does not include concepts such as taxes or tolls. These are included in the Voluntary Price for Small Consumers (PVPC), which is the one that affects consumers with a regulated or indexed rate in the free market and is published late in the afternoon by Red Eléctrica.
When is electricity cheaper this Tuesday?
The cheapest hour of electricity will be from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a price of 0.93 euros/MWh. The most economical sections of the day will occur in a row, starting at mid-morning and lasting until mid-afternoon. Six of them will have a cost of less than 5 euros/MWh.
When is electricity most expensive tomorrow, Tuesday?
The maximum price of electricity will occur from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at which time it will reach 93.35 euros/MWh. It will be from mid-afternoon when the most expensive hours of electricity will occur, which will continue until the end of the day, although there will be some occasional peaks.

Although the month has just started, the average price during these first 3 days of March has been 20.60 euros/MWh, which means that electricity is now 55.53 euros cheaper than compared to a year ago, when the average price was €76.13/MWh.
If today’s day is compared to just a year ago, there is a drop of 70.69%. This is because on March 3, 2025 the price of electricity stood at €96.99/MWh, while the price today stands at €28.43/MWh, which represents a decrease of €68.56 compared to the same date last year.
