The average price of electricity drops to 22.21 euros/MWh this Sunday, February 22, 2026. Electricity drops, therefore, compared to Saturday, February 21, when its price was 29.11 euros per megawatt hour, according to data published by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE), so you pay 23.70% cheaper, that is, 6.90 euros less.

The cheapest hour will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., with a negative price of -0.97 euros/MWh. From the early hours of the morning until the beginning of the afternoon the rest of the economic hours of the day are concentrated, also with negative amounts, but this does not mean that nothing is paid on the electricity bill.

When do you pay the most for electricity this Sunday?

The most expensive time at which electricity will be paid will be from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a price of 99.34 euros per megawatt hour. At the end of the day this Sunday there are other time slots with high amounts, skyrocketing compared to the lowest prices of the day.
