Difference between the fuels of Spain and Europe
Although prices have experienced variations in recent weeks, Spain continues to offer fuels at lower prices compared to the European average. Currently, the liter of gasoline costs 1,620 euros in the European Union and 1,672 euros in the eurozone, while in Spain it remains below those figures, with 1,489 euros per liter. As for diesel, the European mean is at 1,559 euros per liter and in the Eurozone at 1,588 euros, also higher than those registered in our country, where the average diesel price is 1,435 euros per liter.
This difference is mainly due to the fact that in Spain taxes on fuels and logistics costs are lower compared to other EU countries.
