The deadline for the new call for scholarships for the first cycle of Early Childhood Education in authorized private centers granted by the Community of Madrid for the 2026-2027 academic year is now open. Amount of aid for Early Childhood Education
The general amount of the scholarship will be 177 euros per month, which will be paid during the months in which the minor actually attends the center. The eligible period runs from September 1, 2026 to July 31, 2027.
However, the aid can be increased to 283 euros per month in certain cases. Specifically, this increase will be applied when the applicant obtains 5 points in the family income criterion, according to the assessment established in the call.
The Community of Madrid clarifies that the amount of the scholarship awarded, added to other aid received for the same purpose, may not exceed the cost of the center’s schooling fee.
Who can apply for these scholarships
These aids can be requested by parents, guardians, foster parents or those in charge of the care and custody of minors up to 3 years old enrolled in the 2026-2027 academic year in private centers authorized by the Madrid educational administration to teach the first cycle of Early Childhood Education.
Families of children over 3 years of age who must remain in school for another year in the first cycle of Early Childhood Education due to educational needs accredited by a report from the Early Care Team of the department competent in matters of Education will also be able to access it.
The call is designed especially for families who use authorized private centers because they do not have a public place or a place supported by public funds.
Main requirements
To access the scholarship, the minor must have been born or be expected to be born before January 1, 2027. In addition, they must be enrolled or have a reserved place in the first cycle of Early Childhood Education during the 2026-2027 academic year in a private center authorized by the Community of Madrid.
Another important requirement is not to exceed the limit of 35,913 euros of family per capita income. This economic condition will be taken into account to assess access to aid and determine the corresponding score.
The application must be signed by at least one of the parents, guardians or caregivers of the student. In addition, all members over 18 years of age included in the request must authorize the data consultation or sign the corresponding document.
The Community of Madrid allows you to apply for scholarships for several siblings in a single application, so families will not have to present duplicate documentation if they have more than one minor enrolled in school.
How to request help
The application must be processed through the electronic headquarters of the Community of Madrid, within the procedure enabled for scholarships for the first cycle of Early Childhood Education in authorized private centers.
In the application it will be necessary to include family data, the members of the family unit that can be counted for the calculation of per capita income, as well as a mobile phone number and an email address to receive communications about the status of the processing.
