The price of tobacco changes this Saturday in all tobacconists: up to 10 brands affected

The price of tobacco changes again in all establishments on the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands starting this Saturday, May 16. In this way, the Ministry of Finance has published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) the new cost of tobacco products in the Tobacco and Stamp Stores, in the Peninsula and Balearic Islands area.

Through the Resolution of May 14, 2026, belonging to the Presidency of the Commissioner for the Tobacco Market, the prices of tobacco in its different products are modified in relation to last week’s prices. This time the prices of cigarettes, cigars, cigarillos and pipe bites change. On the contrary, rolling pints stay the same and do not change their price.

You should know that the price update will be effective from today, Saturday, May 16, 2026, but it does not mean that they must always go up or affect all brands. What’s more, these changes really only occur in some brands, which may go up or down, while the rest would maintain the same price.

New price of tobacco from May 16

As of this Saturday, May 16, 2026, the modifications in the retail price (RRP) for the different affected tobacco brands that come into force, taking into account the different taxes in the Tobacco and Stamp Stores of the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, are as follows:

Among the most expensive products in the new list published in the BOE are the premium Eiroa brand cigarettes, especially Eiroa Classic Toro Gordo (10), which reaches 12.50 euros per unit. Also notable are La Galera Box Pressed Toro el Lector (21), with 11.90 euros per unit, and Eiroa Classic Toro (10), with 11.25 euros per unit.

In the pipe bites category, the highest references are Serbetli Limton Grill, Serbetli Nestja, Serbetli Panepol and Serbetli Pops, all in 200 gram format and priced at 18.50 euros per unit. In addition, La Galera Happy Holliday Sampler (package of 20) reaches 22 euros per package, being one of the most expensive products on the list.

At the opposite extreme, some of the cheapest references appear, such as Alhambra Coronita (25), with 0.68 euros per unit, and Alhambra Corona (25), with 0.80 euros per unit. Cigars from the Placeres range also stand out in Ceuta and Melilla, with prices starting at 0.95 euros per unit.
