The Junta de Andalucía confirms aid of up to 24,000 euros to carry out work at home and rehabilitate the home

The Junta de Andalucía maintains one of the most relevant lines of aid to improve housing in the community, with subsidies aimed at financing rehabilitation works in houses and residential buildings. These aids seek to improve both the security, accessibility and energy efficiency of properties, especially in old or deficient homes.

In practice, this represents an opportunity for thousands of families who need to carry out important renovations but do not have sufficient resources, since the Administration can cover a significant part of the total cost of the work. This confirms it the portal of the Junta de Andalucía itselfwhich details the requirements and conditions to access these subsidies.

How much money can you receive for these aids?

One of the most notable aspects is the amount. In general, aid can cover up to 40% of the cost of the action, although this percentage can rise to 75% in situations of special vulnerability, such as in the case of elderly people, people with disabilities or those with reduced income.

In absolute terms, aid can reach very high figures depending on the type of work. For example, in actions related to energy efficiency or accessibility, the amount can reach 24,000 euros per home, which makes this line one of the most powerful currently available.

In addition, additional help is also contemplated to cover part of the technical expenses, such as professional fees, with a limit of up to 500 euros in certain cases.

What type of works are included

These subsidies are designed for actions that improve the basic conditions of housing. This includes everything from structural conservation works to the installation of elevators, removal of architectural barriers or energy improvements such as insulation or changing windows.

The objective of the Board is none other than to act on homes that have become old, many of them built before 1996, and guarantee that they meet minimum standards of habitability and efficiency.

Requirements to access help

To be able to apply for this aid, the home must be the habitual and permanent residence of the applicant, and the income of the family unit cannot exceed certain limits, set according to the IPREM. Furthermore, you cannot have received other similar aid for the same home in the last three years.

Both owners and tenants may benefit, provided that the latter assume the cost of the works.
