The Tax Agency (AEAT) will launch this Wednesday, May 6, the telephone service to prepare and present the Income corresponding to the 2025 financial year. The Treasury campaign for the presentation of Personal Income Tax has already begun and thousands of taxpayers have submitted their returns electronically since last April 8.
Now, the initiative will be complemented with a special assistance plan for residents who live in small municipalities, since in many cases they are the ones who have the most problems accessing the internet.
The Treasury’s telephone service is the ‘Le Llamamos’ program and will allow citizens to receive personalized assistance without having to go to an AEAT office. To access, it is necessary to make an appointment (open period from April 29) after which Treasury officials will contact the taxpayer on the indicated date and time.
Calls will be made from the number 913335333, exclusively in an attempt to improve security against possible scams.
Increases the number of declarations
This year’s Income Tax campaign is taking place in a context in which economic activity and employment have increased, two decisive factors that explain the increase in the number of declarations since some 25 million are expected. This represents 2.1% more than last year.
With this, it is expected to earn 24,628 million euros, 18.4% more and the amount to be returned will decrease 3.2% to 13,271 million according to data from the Tax Agency collected by Europa Press.
In recent years, many taxpayers have used the telephone channel as one of the main means of personalized attention. In the previous campaign, the system made it possible to manage nearly 1.2 million declarations.
This model facilitates access to the service but also speeds up the processing of returns without reducing waiting time.
End the territorial and digital divide
Along with telephone support, the Tax Administration will activate a special program for small municipalities from May 6, in collaboration with the Autonomous Communities and city councils. The proposal seeks to alleviate the territorial and digital divide by offering alternatives to those who lack the means or knowledge to complete this process online.
In-person attention in offices begins on June 1, with appointments open from May 29. The calendar maintains the same structure as previous campaigns.
Treasury warns of possible fraud during the campaign
The Tax Agency has stepped up its warnings about attempted fraud during the campaign. Remember that it never requests confidential information such as bank details or card numbers through emails, SMS or messaging applications, nor does it make refunds through methods such as Bizum. Likewise, it insists that you should not respond to communications from numbers other than the official one or download files or access suspicious links.
The Agency appeals to citizen collaboration to detect and report possible fraud, in an attempt to reinforce the security of a process that affects millions of taxpayers each year.
