The price of fuel falls again in Spain, in an international context still marked by instability in the energy markets after the Donald Trump blocking the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz that has skyrocketed the price of oil. According to the latest data from Petroleum Bulletin of the European Union, The average price of 95 gasoline is 1,503 euros per liter, compared to 1,552 euros for the previous weekwhich represents a drop of 0.049 euros.
In the case of diesel, the price also drops to 1.727 euros per liter, below the 1.885 euros registered seven days ago, that is, 0.158 euros less.
With these prices, filling an average 55-liter tank costs 82.67 euros in the case of gasoline. For diesel vehicles, the payment is reduced to 94.99 euros.
Gas stations that sell a liter of gasoline from 1.14 euros
According to the latest data from Geoportalthe cheapest 95 gasoline on the peninsula is found this week in Arahal (Seville). Specifically, at the Ballenoil station on Avenida Virgen de Montemayor, where a liter sells for 1,140 euros.
Several of the lowest prices are also concentrated in the province of Seville. In Seville, the Ronda Norte station located on the SE-30 highway offers 1,287 euros per liter, the same price as the Petroprix de Calonge, on Metalurgia Street. In Utrera (Seville) you can find several options for less than 1.30 euros. This is the case of Petrouya, Family Energy, Ballenoil or ES Vistalegre, all of them with prices around 1,289 euros per liter.
Outside of Andalusia, one of the cheapest options is in Tarragona, where the Ballenoil station on Francolí Street offers gasoline at 1,299 euros per liter.
Gas stations that sell a liter of diesel from 1,399 euros
For its part, the cheapest diesel on the peninsula is found this week in Valle de la Serena (Badajoz). Specifically, at the station identified as 06/32718, located in the industrial area on the Higuera de la Serena highway, where a liter is sold for 1,399 euros.
Also below 1.50 euros we find several options. In Fuente-Álamo (Albacete), station No. 7374 on Doctor Pérez Gil Avenue offers diesel at 1,499 euros, the same price as the ES Rivera de Villarcayo (Burgos), located on San Roque Street.
From there, prices are slightly higher. In Mungia (Bizkaia) and Soria capital, the Alcampo and Petroprix stations sell 1,529 euros per liter.
Spain continues below the European average
Spain continues to maintain lower prices than the European average. In the case of 95 gasoline, the liter costs on average 1,841 euros in the European Union and 1,899 euros in the eurozone, compared to the 1,503 euros that Spain sets.
Something similar happens with diesel. The average stands at 1,974 euros per liter in the European Union and 2,031 euros in the eurozone, while in Spain it remains at 1,727 euros.
This difference is mainly explained by lower tax pressure and lower distribution costs compared to other European countries. However, spending on fuel continues to represent a significant percentage of the family economy, so searching and comparing service stations continues to be an essential strategy to protect your pocket.
