If you are thinking of renewing your vehicle, the time has come. The Madrid City Council has launched the deadline to request the Cambia 360 Aid, an ambitious plan endowed with up to 23.3 million euros destined to clean the air in the capital.
The great news for self-employed workers and transport companies is that subsidies can reach 14,000 euros for the purchase of vehicles intended for the distribution of goods.
14,000 euros for vans and trucks
The most powerful aid line of this edition is the one intended for the Urban Distribution of Goods (DUM), and which has a very clear objective: that the distribution of packages in the city center stops emitting polluting fumes.
To do this, they have been divided into three categories: N1, intended for vans, with which you can receive up to 11,000 euros if the vehicle has a ZERO emissions label. Now, if you opt for an ECO, the aid is €7,000 and €5,000 for the C label.
As for the N2 category (light trucks), the aid rises to 12,000 euros for zero models. But that’s not all. There is also extra for scrapping. In both cases, if you hand over your vehicle for scrapping, an additional 3,000 euros are added. This is how a professional can reach 14,000 or 15,000 euros in total subsidy.
There is also help for individuals
For private drivers, there is an important change in the 2026 regulations. Aid for vehicles with a C badge is eliminated. And now, Madrid only subsidizes the purchase of cleaner cars:
- ZERO Label: 4,000 euros of aid.
- ECO Label: 2,000 euros of aid.
- Renewal Plan: An extra 1,500 euros can be added to these figures if you scrap an old vehicle (with label A or, for the first time, also label B).
If two wheels are your thing to get around the center, the City Council reserves a credit for electric micromobility with applications open until September 15, offering aid that reaches 400 euros for the purchase of electric bicycles, up to 600 euros in the case of mopeds and a maximum of 1,000 euros for those who opt for electric motorcycles.
Dates to take into account
To present the papers you have to be very clear about the calendar, since each category has its own ‘window’:
- Goods (DUM) and Micromobility: From April 15 to September 15.
- Private vehicles: From April 20 to May 20 (Only one month!).
- Taxis: From May 1 to June 1.
- Recharge points: From April 20 to May 20.
Thanks to this aid, Madrid has managed to comply with the European air quality directives for the fourth consecutive year. If you want to benefit from this public boost, you can manage your request through the official website madrid360.es.
