The average price of electricity tomorrow, Friday, April 3, 2026, will be 14.44 euros per megawatt hour (MWh) in the wholesale market, according to data published by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE). In this way, breaking away from this week’s trend, electricity experiences a large increase of 188.77% compared to Thursday, which translates into about 9.44 euros more on average.
It should be noted that this amount refers to the average price in the wholesale market, which does not include concepts such as taxes or tolls. These, to avoid mistakes, are included in the Voluntary Price for Small Consumers (PVPC), which is the one that affects consumers with a regulated or indexed rate in the free market and is published late in the afternoon by Red Eléctrica.
When is electricity cheaper this Friday?
The cheapest hour of electricity will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a price of -5 euros/MWh. Despite the rise in electricity, there will be up to 10 slots with a cost of 0 euros or less, which occur from the morning until late in the afternoon.
When is electricity most expensive tomorrow, Friday?
The maximum price of electricity will occur between 9 and 10 p.m., when 80.62 euros/MWh will be reached. The most expensive hours of light begin to occur after 8 p.m., although there will be some early in the morning. Even so, they are still below the 100 euro barrier.
