Comes into force: aid of 1,500 euros for the training of all unemployed young people under 30 years of age with low incomes in this autonomous community

The Community of Madrid has launched the Training Check, an aid of up to 1,500 euros for unemployed young people under 30 years of age with low income who want to take courses aimed at improving their employability.

The measure is already active and is processed online so that the process is faster and simpler, without unnecessary paperwork or travel.

A push to return to the market

The idea is clear: to make it easier for those who are outside the labor market to enter with more options. The help is aimed at useful courses, with prior professional guidance, and is managed through Digital Account, the regional platform that allows you to carry out procedures, receive notices and complete applications in a guided manner.

The Madrid Government thus wants training to stop being a brake and become a gateway to employment. In the context of Spain, the fact is not minor: youth unemployment continues to be one of the great pending issues and any economic incentive to study and retrain can make a difference.

In this case, the Community of Madrid has opted for a direct formula: the student asks for help, presents the documentation and, if they meet the requirements, they can receive the money to pay for the chosen training.

Who can request it

To access the check, you must reside in the Community of Madrid, be unemployed and registered as a job seeker, be under 30 years old at the time of enrollment or reservation of a place and not have received this same aid in 2025. In addition, the coexistence unit cannot exceed three times the IPREM and the course cannot be free for the beneficiary.

There are also conditions on the training, since it must have a minimum duration of 10 hours, be considered suitable by the career counselor at the employment office and not count as a day or conference. The application must be submitted within one month of registration or reservation of a place, and only one request is allowed per person per year.

How is it processed and when are the 1,500 euros received?

The request is made from the Digital Administration of the regional government, a way designed to simplify the process. The platform guides the user step by step, shows only the necessary questions and warns if any data is missing or something needs to be corrected.

To request it, you will also need the professional orientation report, proof of registration or reservation, the responsible declaration of income from the cohabitation unit and a certificate of bank ownership.

The general term goes from January 1 to December 10, 2026, as long as the available credit is not exhausted before. Payment is made when it is proven that the training has been successfully completed. In practice, Madrid seeks to reward real employability: not only pay for courses, but also help that training translate into a job option.

Part of the young plan

This check is part of the Youth Employment Plan presented in July 2024 by the Executive of Isabel Díaz Ayuso, which has a total investment of 200 million euros. It is, according to the regional government, the most ambitious program in this area in all of Spain.

This means that if an unemployed young person with few resources can access useful training adapted to their profile, they will have more options to enter the labor market. And at a time when every opportunity counts, an aid of 1,500 euros can become more than just a check: it can be the first step to starting over.
