Tadic ‘attacked’ by two armed robbers outside home and ‘slaps’ one in face

Ajax captain Dusan Tadic was attacked outside his home in Amsterdam in July, according to reports.

News stories have only just emerged with shocking claims that the former Southampton star went through a terrifying ordeal on July 28.

De Telegraaf reported the incident took place shortly after the current Ajax star returned home after midnight.

He was approached by two men, wearing motorcycle helmets, and he immediately knew something was wrong.

Tadic then got into a physical confrontation with the two attackers while he was trying to flee.

It is said that he managed to flip up one of the assailant’s visors and slap him in the face.

He was then able to get away to a nearby restaurant where the attackers fled the scene on a scooter.

Serbia publication Espreso claimed Tadic only suffered minor injuries and torn clothes.

The shocking incident took place shortly before Ajax’s Johan Cruyff Cup match with PSV, which they lost 5-3.

Despite the troubling turn of events, he still started the match.

He was spotted with a number of plasters on his fingers, but it is unknown whether this was related to the attack two days earlier.

It is not the first time when Tadic has been targeted.

Two men, again wearing helmets, came to his home under the guise of being pizza delivery men.

Tadic has also played 88 times for Serbia

He was not home at his time, but his wife did not answer the door because of the suspicious behaviour of the two men.

Tadic has been with Ajax since 2018 after spending four seasons with Premier League side Southampton.
