The 2022/23 Premier League season is fast-approaching and it’s going to be the biggest and best so far.
This will be the 30th campaign since its inception and we’ve come a long way.
In 1992/93, Alan Shearer’s £3.3million transfer from Southampton to Blackburn was considered mega-money.
This summer Liverpool have spent £85million on Benfica forward Darwin Nunez and he’s looking set to be a huge hit.
He’s not the only big-name signing in a blockbuster summer transfer window with Norwegian goal machine Erling Haaland joining Man City, Raheem Sterling going to Chelsea, Richarlison heading to Tottenham from Everton, and Gabriel Jesus moving to Arsenal – and that’s just the forwards.
Jesus will be front and centre in the opening match too as the Gunners clash with Crystal Palace, which you can watch with a NOW Sports membership.
Arsenal, with the signing of Jesus and more, are looking to break into the top four after missing out last term, but opponents Crystal Palace will be looking to progress again under Patrick Vieira after a promising first campaign at Selhurst Park.
Tottenham have the potential to make waves with manager Antonio Conte backed heavily in the transfer market, while Southampton have landed six stars as they look to revitalise the squad under Ralph Hasenhuttl.

Chelsea yet to reach Cucurella agreement, Schmeichel leaves Leicester, Ronaldo latest
Liverpool were cruelly denied another Premier League title last season due to Man City’s tremendous form and although they have lost superstar Sadio Mane, the arrival of Nunez and the impact of Luis Diaz last January appears to have them in a fine position.
But City themselves have, along with Haaland, landed new recruits Kalvin Phillips and Stefan Ortega, while Julian Alvarez has linked up with the club after joining in January.
Their city rivals Manchester United are looking to improve under Erik ten Hag with Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, and Tyrell Malacia arriving.
In the middle of the Premier League, West Ham, Newcastle, and Aston Villa are among the pack looking to gatecrash the European place should any of the ‘Big Six’ fail to impress.
Leicester, strangely, are yet to sign a senior player this summer but should have a strong enough squad to compete too.
Wolves are another side who haven’t made many additions, while an early injury to Raul Jimenez is already threatening to derail their season before it has even started.
Nottingham Forest and Leeds, on the other hand have been two of the busiest teams in the transfer market, landing 11 players and six, respectively.
The Tricky Trees will certainly be buoyed by the arrival of experienced star Jesse Lingard and on-loan England keeper Dean Henderson.
Unlike fellow promoted side Forest, though, Bournemouth have not added major additions, while Fulham have landed Kevin Mbabu and Joao Palhinha, among others to boost their survival hopes.
Everton, meanwhile, after last season’s struggles have added James Tarkowski which should bolster their squad.
But how will it all play out in the Premier League?
