5. Yves Bissouma – Brighton and Hove Albion to Tottenham Hotspur

Antonio Conte’s Tottenham have definitely struck while the iron is hot with Yves Bissouma.

The now former Brighton man has caught the eyes of the Premier League big boys for some time, having a string of stellar campaigns and becoming a long-standing member of the Seagulls’ starting XI.

Switching between operating as a defensive midfielder or playing a more central role under Graham Potter last season, Bissouma’s ability to read the game is seriously impressive, with him being fearless in winning the ball back off opponents.

And Spurs have plucked him away from the AMEX at the right time, paying just £25million for the highly rated star as he had one year left on his contract.

Bissouma will also help Conte’s side offensively, given his ability to win back possession and drive his team up the field, which will inevitably help link the ball up to Tottenham’s exciting attacking trio – currently Harry Kane, Heung-min Son and Dejan Kulusevski.

Although the Italian manager is unlikely to change his style of having a two-man midfield, Bissouma has played in such a set-up before, so whilst his role may differ slightly, he’s bound to shore up both Tottenham’s offensive and defensive play.

4. Raheem Sterling – Manchester City to Chelsea

Chelsea have struggled to secure their targets this window, but the addition of now ex-City winger Sterling is something all Premier League fans – not just those who follow Chelsea – should be itching to see.

Now on his third Premier League club after spells at Liverpool, City and now Chelsea and of course his time in the England set up, Sterling’s abilities are widely known already.

However, the £50million man will be exciting to watch this season given his deadly threat on goal and his versatility, which will help the Blues who are relying on attacking midfielder Kai Havertz and Timo Werner, who is potentially on the move.

With the ability to play on either wing, Sterling offers Chelsea a boost from out wide with his ability to swoop into the box – although he’ll likely play out on the right given Mason Mount is best deployed on the left.

And he’s sure to link up well with Reece James.

But he could also lead the Blues’ line too, his adaptability – which he crafted at City – making him vital in the Blues push for the title next season.

Given Sterling will be working towards cementing a place in England manager Gareth Southgate’s starting XI for the World Cup in Qatar, he’s likely to be ready and raring to go to prove himself at Stamford Bridge.

With 109 top flight goals already under his belt and already scoring in pre-season against Udinese, playing for Thomas Tuchel could see Sterling have his best season to date

3. Gabriel Jesus – Manchester City to Arsenal

Jesus has already proved he’s going to be a marked improvement on now-Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, with the Frenchman scoring just four times last term.

Moving from City for a transfer fee of £45million after being unable to secure consistent game time with the Premier League champions, the Brazilian has already been on fire for the Gunners, scoring an enormous eight goals.

With a brilliant ability to press and help his sides maintain a high defensive line, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has had Jesus leading the line in most of their games this summer.

A four-time Premier League winner and averaging a goal every 160 minutes, Jesus knows exactly how to play like a champion, which is exactly what Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal need.

Could this be the season we really see Jesus’ potential, which was potentially untapped at City, unlocked

2. Darwin Nunez – Benfica to Liverpool

If there were fears as to whether Darwin Nunez would sink rather than swim on his big move to England, Saturday’s Community Shield match showed the Uruguayan international is ready for action.

Coming on as a substitute for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp against City last weekend, all eyes turned the now-former Benfica star, with former Anfield skipper Graeme Souness backing him to be an ‘outstanding success.’

After netting four goals in the Reds’ clash against RB Leipzig this summer, Nunez was on top form at the King Power as he ran riot in City’s half, knocking on the door for a goal as soon as he came on.

And eventually, his well-earnt chance came, with him putting the ball in the net in the 94th minute.

His ability to play up front on his own, giving Liverpool the option of pinging balls into the box for him to get on and his constant energy may be what Liverpool have been missing.

With long-standing winger Sadio Mane now gone, Nunez’s arrival in Liverpool’s attack will be fascinating as he adjusts to the switch to England after lighting up the Primera Liga.

And fans should be eager to see how the £85million signing gets on as Liverpool bid to beat City to the title this time.

1. Erling Haaland – Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City

Of course, you can’t forget about the marquee signing of the summer – Erling Haaland.

The exciting youngster has become an icon since he caught the world’s attention whilst at Borussia Dortmund, and signing for Premier League champions Manchester City has been the main event in this transfer window.

But what fans should be really excited for is to see whether a player like Haaland will work in Pep Guardiola’s side.

After scoring a colossal 61 goals in 66 Bundesliga appearances during his time with BVB, it seems silly to question Haaland’s abilities.

But Saturday’s Community Shield saw him miss a sitter by his standards, though that is just down to rustiness.

It seemed crazy that City went without an out and out senior striker last season, but playing with false nines seemed to be the perfect remedy for eventual champions City.

However, they will need to adapt to Haaland and feed him the ball a lot more, if Saturday’s 3-1 defeat to Liverpool is anything to go by.

So for such a hot prospect to make such a big move, fans will inevitably have their eyes glued on how the Norway international gets on.

NOW is ready when you are – stream the new season whether it’s the Premier League, EFL, WSL or Scottish Premiership for just £25 a month for 12 months without a contract.
