Football fans up and down the country can rejoice… the Premier League is back!
The 2022/23 season kicks-off on Friday night when Arsenal travel to Crystal Palace – a game you can listen to live and exclusively on talkSPORT.
It is set to be a thrilling campaign with plenty of new faces in the Premier League who will want to hit the ground running.
Both Man City and Liverpool have spent huge money on centre-forwards in Erling Haaland and Darwin Nunez.
Tottenham and Arsenal have splashed the cash to improve their squads, while hundreds of millions have been spent across the whole league.
Meanwhile, we are seeing a new era begin at Manchester United under Erik ten Hag.
All eyes will be on the first weekend of the season with a number of blockbuster fixtures to get the campaign up and running.
There are plenty of talking points and talkSPORT.com have picked out five to watch out for.

Arsenal red cards
Discipline has been a problem for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and have received an astonishing 13 red cards since the Spaniard was appointed in December 2019.
It is an issue they have found on the opening day of the Premier League seasons over the years.
They have had more players sent off [six] on the opening day than any other side in the competition’s history.
Their most recent red card in the first match of the season was Laurent Koscielny against Aston Villa in 2013/14.
Record-breakers?
Alan Shearer, Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney all jointly hold the record for most goals on the opening day of the Premier League with eight.
Both Mohamed Salah and Jamie Vardy can match or better that as both sit on seven.
Salah’s record on the opening day is astonishing, scoring in the first game of Liverpool’s league campaign in each of his five seasons with the club.
Liverpool face Fulham, while Leicester host Brentford.
Kane and Son love Southampton
Southampton beware, Harry Kane and Heung-min Son love playing against you… but they probably already know that.
Only Shearer (14) and Andrew Cole (11) have scored more or as many Premier League goals against the Saints than Tottenham pair Kane (11) and Son (10).
Kane’s famous August goal drought is also a thing of the past. He went a number of seasons without scoring in the first month of the season, before finally breaking that duck.
He netted twice in 2018 and two more in 2019, but has none in the last two campaigns.
Haaland doing it for Norway
Man City striker Erling Haaland could be the seventh Norwegian to score on his Premier League debut if and when he plays against West Ham on Sunday.
He would be the third to do so in the opening game of a season after Tore Andre Flo in 1997/98 and Adama Diomande in 2016/17.
His father – Alf Inge Haaland – made 181 Premier League appearances between 1994 and 2001, with the last of those coincidentally coming for City against West Ham in April 2001.
Ten Hag pressure
Erik ten Hag will be the eighth manager (including caretakers) to take charge of Manchester United in the nine years since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.
Six of the previous seven in that time have won their first ever match in charge of the Red Devils, with Louis van Gaal the only exception, losing 2-1 to Swansea.
The Red Devils will face Brighton on Sunday at 2pm.
The Premier League is back and talkSPORT has it covered, with games on Friday, Saturday and Monday, beginning with Crystal Palace vs Arsenal on 5 August
