talkSPORT understands Leicester want £80million for the 21-year-old, but the Blues are reluctant to pay more than £60m, with transfer guru Alex Crook rating the chance of a move at ’70/30′ in the London club’s favour.

Crook said: “He removed being a Leicester player from his social media bios yesterday. I think he is pushing for this move to Stamford Bridge.

“The two clubs are quite far apart on a fee at the moment, Leicester are pushing for about £80m, Chelsea are only willing to go as high as £60m.

“But when a player starts pushing for a move, as Fofana is, the player tends to get their way.

“I would say there is a 70/30 chance that he goes to Chelsea. It would be a massive blow for Leicester.”

The Foxes are the only Premier League club yet to make a signing before the new season and a number of key players are being chased by rival teams.

Kasper Schmeichel is headed for Nice and Newcastle are pushing to sign James Maddison, while Harvey Barnes is also linked with the Magpies.

Now, 90min claims Chelsea and Manchester United are monitoring Jamie Vardy – who is one of 11 Leicester players with contracts expiring in 2023.

The Blues, meanwhile, are close to signing full-back Marc Cucurella from Brighton after meeting the club’s £50million asking price.

They also look set to land Aston Villa wonderkid Carney Chukwuemeka in £20m move.

The Premier League is back and talkSPORT has it covered, with games on Friday, Saturday and Monday, beginning with Crystal Palace vs Arsenal on 5 August
