Erling Haaland is a machine in front of goal and it’s scary to think just how many he could score for Manchester City.
The defending Premier League champions splashed out £52m on the Norwegian international this summer and he got off to the dream start on Sunday.
The 22-year-old bagged two goals for the Citizens in a comfortable 2-0 victory over West Ham on the opening weekend.
Despite his tender age, Haaland has scored goals for club and country in huge numbers and his City debut suggests his time at the Etihad will be no different.
Here’s a full breakdown of his career record so far…
Erling Haaland career statistics
Molde – 50 appearances – 20 goals
RB Salzburg – 27 appearances – 29 goals
Borussia Dortmund – 89 appearances – 86 goals
Manchester City – 2 appearances – 2 goals
Norway – 21 caps – 20 goals
Champions League – 21 appearances – 23 goals
Overall senior career – 184 appearances – 137 goals
The Leeds-born striker started his professional career in Norway at Molde.
In all, he made 50 appearances for the club and scored 20 goals, including four in Europa League Qualifying during the 2018/19 campaign.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer talked about his former pupil while he was still Manchester United manager last year.
He said: “It was really amazing to work with him, to see his potential. Part of me is very proud to have been part of his growth.
“I am convinced that he will break every record in the Champions League.”
Haaland joined RB Salzburg in January 2019 for just over £7m and hasn’t looked back.
He announced himself onto the world stage in Austria and began to draw admiring looks from the world’s top teams.
He scored 29 goals in just 27 games for Salzburg, including eight in the Champions League.
Liverpool, Genk and Napoli were all no match for Haaland.
He even impressed Jurgen Klopp: “[He’s a] wonderful player, young, very confident.”
And in January 2020, he was on the move again.

Incredibly, Haaland only had a £17m buyout clause inserted into his contract at RB Salzburg and Dortmund swooped.
Manchester United also wanted the forward, but he and his agent Mino Raiola picked a move to Germany.
Haaland did have a few injury problems while at Dortmund but still scored just under a goal per game.
He managed 89 appearances and bagged 86 goals, while he also won the German Cup during the 2020/21 campaign.
Last year, Haaland missed 16 games through injury and still scored 29 times.
While at Dortmund, his current manager lavished him with praise.
Pep Guardiola said: “To score that number of goals at his age is not easy. He’s 20 years old and the numbers speak for themselves.
“When that happens it’s because he can score with the right, the left, via counterattacks, in the box. He’s a fantastic striker, everyone knows it.”
Haaland has two goals in his first two games for the Citizens.
His first came from the penalty spot and his second was a cool finish after Kevin De Bruyne found him in behind the Hammers defence.
Both were made to look very easy by one of the world’s best forwards and Premier League defences have been warned…
