Rebekah Vardy broke down in tears today as she spoke out for the first time since her £3million Wagatha Christie libel defeat to once again deny leaking stories about Coleen Rooney, telling an interviewer: ‘I’ll say it until I’m blue in the face, I did not do it’.

The 40-year-old, whose reputation has been left in tatters by the case, added in an interview with TalkTV’s Kate McCann: ‘I feel let down by a lot of people, a lot of things. But importantly I feel let down by the legal system.’

Mrs Vardy, wife of Leicester City footballer Jamie, was told by a High Court judge that her evidence was ‘evasive and implausible; and was accused of deliberately deleting WhatsApp messages central to the case.

The TalkTV interview – a clip of which was published today – is likely to be the first of a series of efforts to restore her reputation that may include a documentary, a biography and two retail campaigns.

Sources close to Vardy hope a bidding war will break out among production companies, five of which are said to be interested, to create a documentary on the infamous case.

Bidders are expected to offer between £50,000 and £250,000 for her involvement, The Times reports.
